Seattle Poodles breeds beautiful, healthy, high quality black and chocolate miniature poodles for families to love. Lady Espresso, who started our line, is a black miniature poodle. However, she carries a chocolate gene and had some chocolate puppies. Her son Biscotti and daughter Bellaccino have also produced chocolate puppies. Though we retired Lady Espresso in 2008, we are continuing her line with Sir Biscotti, Lady Mochaccina and Lady Bellaccino. Her line is also continued in Colorado with Sir Johann and Sir Rachmaninoff. Spressi, now spayed, has not retired from puppy rearing and plays a very active role in the training and upbringing of her grand-puppies.

  Home of the infamous "Coffee Poodles"
The coffee names started back in the early 80's when Val named her poodle "Cappuccino". He was a very light brown color with a white tummy and reminded Val of a Cappuccino. After meeting Bob, we purchased a beautiful black female poodle as a companion for Cappuccino and named her "Espresso." With their first litter of puppies the coffee names began. After our beloved Espresso passed away at 15 years of age, we purchased a jet black puppy from a home breeder and named her "Lady Espresso of Angle Lake" and the coffee names continued. Mocha and Biscotti were from her first litter. We named two puppies from the second litter (2006) "Macchiato" and "Frappuccino," and their new family decided to keep the names.

From Spressi's third litter (2007), pups were named "Raspberry Mocha" and "Chai" by their owners. From Spressi's 4th litter puppies were named Kona, Mochaccina and Bellaccino. One of the puppies Biscotti fathered was named "Java". Mochaccina had a puppy named Kona, and Bellaccino had a puppy named Kahlua.

We retired Spressi (after 4 litters producing 18 puppies). We kept two puppies from her last litter to continue this excellent line. Mochaccina and Bellaccino are beautiful poodles (fathered by a champion) who have completely stolen our hearts. And we purchased a beautiful and sweet chocolate poodle named Cinnamon Dolce (her mother is a champion) to breed with Biscotti.
